New Facility for CHD: Breaks ground April 1st then 13 months until completion
CHD Facilities currently: Internet Room has 8 computers with Internet access As of now, they have a class in there for 2 hours per week
Newspaper and Writing class taught Mondays at 10:30 am by Anne Paine from The Tennessean
The Journey Home – fundraising newspaper/newsletter sent out by CHD – has homeless contributors
New website for CHD is about to go live – will have The Journey Home online – were interested in having a blog component with the new website
Mentioned blog aggregation on the CHD website Concerns raised by Rachel: Language and content not appropriate for religious non-profit Names and pictures posted
Creative writing, art, etc. classes are offered – Interested in partnering a blogging class with those
CHD has a points system for on-site store – would give a points incentive for the blogging class
CHD has a strong partnership with Belmont University – Todd Lake on board, house at Belmont, art students, John Gonas
The main appeal to the CHD about the blogging class: Giving a voice to the homeless
